solo videos
these are some videos i made. my work is not usually really focused on telling a
story, but more about creating an atmosphere. that is not so much a deliberate
decision as a way things turn out.
i am keep searching for different ways to express myself through video, but there
are some things that seem to have turned into signature marks:
- my work is quite (photo)graphic to look at, with clear shapes and simple, understated
images.
- the soundtrack is very important to me, whether it is music, or talking, or background
noise.
- i really like to keep it simple and not use any distracting effects or transitions.
sometimes the transitions are deliberately hard, other times they are more subtle.
some reoccurring themes: interaction vs. individuality, privacy vs. openness, and personal life in the public arena.
