wow and behold: finally the long promised update is finished!
not only does everything looks a bit different and more cheerful now, there have been some other changes. here are some of the bigger ones:
) this site is not just for my videos anymore, but a general portfolio site: the menu on the right has some submenus now.
) videos are in flash instead of quicktime. they are also in a higher quality format and you can watch them full screen.
) improovie#0 is finished. you find it in the 'collaborations' menu.
) loads more..

so have a look around. i hope you like it.

big, big thank you to ronald, not only a good friend and soundtrack provider, but also my own personal amazing programming wizz.
xoxo

new years, new plans, new resolutions... so the ideas i was working on last month have (surprise, surprise) turned out a bit bigger than expected. I am keeping you curious for now, but one thing i am planning on in the foreseeable future is a total update of this site: looks and content.
i've received a lot of requests to put 'only the city' online. all of it is a bit too long i think, but i have decided to put some snippets online.
see here for further details.
have fun

finally a new video! watch it here and don't be scared to tell me what you think. sound only starts a few minutes into the video, just so you know: don't turn it up too loud.
i'd also like you to know, if you didn't already, i put some photography up on flickr.

take care!

i am back in the netherlands. i got back a month ago, about a year after getting this page online. my, how time flies... so i had a few fairly sattisfying pre-screenings of the documentary and am now planning on sending the documentary to festivals. so sorry, no online version for a while.
i wouldn't be me if i hadn't had some technical setbacks, but i am working on those and have a few ideas for some new stuff...

bye bye

yes, the documentary is finished! i hope to find time soon to put it all online, for now you'll have to settle for the trailer, which you can watch here at you tube.
or add the documentary on your myspace here.
this saturday, may 19th, it is screening at the naccc benefit in warehouse 1310 (1310 portrero @ 25th) in san francisco.

doors open at 7, screening at 7.30, 5 bands afterwards. suggested donation: 5 dollars.

i am heading back to the netherlands early june. things are getting hectic. i will be shooting some more stuff before i leave and edit them into shorts once i get back home.

ok, i have started a new project. it includes bikes. what a surprise, eh?
i am looking for a lot of people, living in the california bay area, to donate 15 minutes of their time to this. the plan is to turn it into a documentary, filled with shots and voiceovers of different people telling what they love and hate about biking in a city (in general and about specific subjects/ places). if it turns out the way i hope it will, it will be fun for bicyclists to watch, and explaining to non-byciclist how we feel riding and why we keep on doing it (and hopefully they will enjoy watching it, too).
more info here.

finally some news. i am currently in the bay area (u.s.a.) and will be staying there for some more months, taking a break from the daily routine to focus on my work. i am starting a few interesting projects at the moment, i will try to keep you posted on this site.
local artists interested in working with me on my improovies project (see info), please get in touch.
i added a new video, "powell & o'farrell", check it out.

and yes, i have finally, finally finished the still image project! it took me forever to get it ready, and it still doesn't feel finished, but at some point you gotta let go of your babies...

please have a look at it, read the info if you feel like it and leave some input. this project is all about not being a bystander, so please participate. it might even be fun!
thanks to everybody who already contributed.

don't be a stranger (there's enough of those already)

hello everyone,

i put some new material up!
"we can dance", a short i made with live material and a song of enablers and "such great heights" a really short video about rooftops and the urge to fly.

i am also asking you to check out the interact section. there's a new addition and i still need material for the still-image project. it takes a lot of still-frames to make a few minutes of interesting video. please do not hesitate to send me any.

for the rest; you can now download a higher quality version of the videos - just click the "bigger version" with your right mouse buttton. i'd like to make clear that everything is copyright, under a creative commons license (linked bottom left of the page). and yes, for now it's all available in quicktime only. apologies to the linux users, we're working on it.

wishing you all the best,
regina

hello and welcome,
so, looks like i finally have a website for my videos. feels like it took forever, but it's there.
not too much content yet, but as i'm online now i can start focusing more on new work. i'm trying to focus on the improovies project for now, but there is some other stuff on here, too, and there will be more other stuff coming. will keep you posted on the things i'm working on. one of the main reasons for getting this site started is that i'm really interested in working with other people, read the info and interact section if you're interested. i'm always open to feedback, too.
thank you for visiting, thanks to my friends for their support, inspiration and welcome distractions. especially ronald and meta: big, big, big thank you for doing that nerdy voodoo that you do so well.
it is such an understatement to say i'm excited, but i can't come up with anything better.
let the interaction begin!

take care
regina

if you happen to be in amsterdam, until august 27th there's a nice selection of video art (including my short "berlin & ich") showing in the media kitchen of huis marseille.
